House Foremen

The house foremen are two half-time employees of the Västgötagården Foundation in Lund and their names are Vilde Andersson and Gustaf Tidestad. The house foremen ensure that the Foundation's housing and premises are in good condition and help residents with various tasks to maintain the very pleasant accommodation provided by the Foundation. Västgöta Nation rents its premises from the Västgötagården Foundation and has a very close cooperation and lives in symbiosis, but has chosen to have two separate organisations in order to ensure each other's survival. If you want to meet the house foremen, you are welcome to do so during office hours or in the Metro Bar.

New in Lund

A warm welcome and congratulations on your admission! Register as a member of Västgöta Nation and you can participate in our housing lottery! Between 21 Aug-15 Sep you can become a member at Tornavägen 17-19. The room is available from the middle of September, hurray!

Queuing time

It currently takes about 1 year to get a room at Västgötagården. Renting a corridor room costs about 4000 SEK/month, a double room about 5500 SEK/month. The rent is spread over 10 months (July and August are rent-free). If you are a novice and live in Västra Götaland, you have priority for accommodation at the start of the semester. The notice period is 2 months.

Apply for accommodation

Once you have submitted a housing application, you will not receive a confirmation; you will have to contact the house foremen yourself to find out where you stand in the queue. For the housing application to be valid, it must be renewed every 3 months. Residents must also be active students at the university in Lund or Malmö and be members of Västgöta Nation in Lund. If you as a housing applicant or resident at Västgötagården have questions, send us an email or visit us during our office hours.
