The Västgöta Nation Scholarships for Spring 2025 are now open for applications.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday, May 27th at 1:00 PM.
Please note that a personal declaration must be submitted together with the application form. The Scholarship Committee also encourages applicants to include a personal letter.
Kindly observe that all applications must be submitted to the Nation’s office in person. Applications sent via email will not be accepted.

Qurator (HT25/VT26)
Emma Andeby
En enig valberedning föreslår Emma Andeby till Qurator för mandatperioden HT25/VT26. Emma är 25 år gammal, kommer från Göteborg och studerar just nu sjuksköterskeprogrammet. Hon har utöver det studerat kurser i psykologi, juridik och HR. Emma har varit aktiv på nationen sedan HT21 och har sedan dess hunnit jobba de flesta utskott på nationen. Hon har varit Festförman, Sittning bar-förman och var nyligen Övermarskalk för Nyckelorden 2025. Med dessa poster har Emma fått en god kunskap om nationens verksamhet samt visat att hon är strukturerad och besitter en god ledarskaps- och kommunikationsförmåga. Emma har även suttit som ledamot i valberedningen vilket gett henne ytterligare insyn i nationens arbete. Dessutom har hon visat prov på god ledarskapsförmåga när hon arbetat som kassaledare i butik samt varit kursledare på språkresor för ungdomar.
Emma är mån om att alla på nationen, såväl förmän, jobbare som medlemmar, känner sig trygga och hoppas kunna vara en trygg punkt för hela nationen. Hon ser vikten av att vara inkluderande, lyhörd och ärlig. Emma har lätt för att ta på sig ledarrollen men tycker samtidigt att det är viktigt att alla kommer till tals och att vi bibehåller en icke-hierarkisk organisation. Emma ser utmaningarna med den kommande karnevalsvåren men ser även en stor potential för nationen att utmärka sig och växa. Hon vill arbeta för att fånga och även bibehålla det engagemang som växer fram under denna period och ser det som en rolig utmaning.
Valberedningen rekommenderar därför nationsmötet att välja Emma Andeby till Qurator.
ProQurator Social (HT25/VT26)
Melissa Karlsson
En enig valberedning föreslår Melissa Karlsson till ProQurator Social för mandatperioden HT25/VT26. Melissa är 22 år, fyller 23 om några veckor, och flyttade från Strömstad till Lund för tre år sedan. Sedan dess har hon studerat på juridikprogrammet, och under sin tid på Västgöta Nation har hon varit Metroförman, Festförman och är för tillfället Kvällsansvarig. Utöver detta så har hon även jobbat på nästintill alla nationens utskott. Dessa poster har gett henne en bred förståelse och kunskap för nationens dagliga verksamheter och utskott. Förutom sitt engagemang inom nationen är Melissa ideellt engagerad på tjej- och transjouren där hon har ett förtroendeuppdrag som joursamordnare. Hon arbetar även på juridiska fakulteten som amanuens. Hennes tid i lumpen samt hennes långa erfarenhet av restaurangbranschen har ytterligare bidragit till hennes kompetenser.
Melissa är organiserad, lyhörd och tålmodig – passande egenskaper för en quratelare i allmänhet och en PQS i synnerhet. Hennes mycket relevanta erfarenheter har stärkt hennes kompetenser och gör henne till en mycket kvalificerad kandidat. Melissas vision för kommande mandatperiod är att nationen ska synas och vara inkluderande men framförallt tillgänglig. Melissa vill även arbeta på att det i längden ska vara lönsamt och hållbart att vara engagerad i nationen. Hon vill dessutom utveckla nationens upprustnings- och hållbarhetsarbete, detta för att säkerställa att byggnaden håller i många år framöver.
Valberedningen rekommenderar därför nationsmötet att välja Melissa Karlsson till ProQurator Social.

The Nomination Committee is a preparatory body that drafts proposals for quratel and foreman positions for the Nation Meeting by conducting interviews.
